On Saturday, May 10, 2025, WaterMarks will join museums, planetariums, libraries, community-based organizations, parks, and universities all over the country to host activities to celebrate the National Science Foundation’s 75th Anniversary — officially recognized as STEM Day!
Here in Milwaukee, we are organizing a city-wide celebration to highlight the WaterMarks project and NSF’s ongoing support. This exciting event will feature a full day of programming, running from 10 AM to 4 PM, including:
Water related programming and NSF highlights at the Milwaukee Public Museum.
Site-specific informal science and arts activities hosted by neighborhood partners.
STEM activities led by Discovery World, Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewer District, and Milwaukee Public Museum at specific sites (to be announced).
A free “hop-on/hop-off” shuttle bus connecting event locations.
