Kavon “KJ” Cortez-Jones is a poet and performer, with the published book of poems, Club Noir. Having grown up on Milwaukee’s North Side, and penned a poem entitled “A Love Letter to Milwaukee,” Jones is involved with the community, supporting arts integration and an overall better Milwaukee. He is a part of and hosts different performance events within the city. 

For WaterMarks, KJ performed poetry at Snail’s Crossing Park along the Beerline Trail and co-hosted a poetry workshop at the Century City Tower.
