Ras-Ammar Nsoroma
L - Lindsay Heights Artist
Ammar is a Milwaukee-based muralist, portraitist, and mixed media painter. His work centers around the spiritual, cultural, and political consciousness of the African Diaspora.
He loves to bicycle and you may see him during one of his Red, Bike & Green Rides.
Ammar is one of the two artists selected to work on a WaterMarks art project for Lindsay Heights.
He co-led a Lindsay Heights walk showcasing some of his existing art in the neighborhood, including an outdoor mural depicting the water cycle and paintings inside Sweet (Suite) Black Coffee Cafe/Lounge.
Ammar also created the bas relief mural depicting the drama of freed slave Joshua Glover escaping Milwaukee that is located beneath the interstate freeway underpass near McKinley Avenue just northwest of downtown Milwaukee.
