Voices

We Are a Water Chorus

We are each part of Milwaukee’s water story.

Profiling the people of Milwaukee and highlighting our human relationships to water—and each other—is the aim of WaterMarks’ Voices.

We listen. We learn. We celebrate.

Our intention is to elevate local voices and share unique water stories that enrich our whole city's water-centric identity.

Guided by Neighborhood Project Teams who suggest meaningful topics and local sources, we interview community members to curate a mélange of content that is shared online and forms the backbone of digital media also showcased via WiFi at each WaterMarker.

The nonprofit Reflo supports WaterMarks Voices through its Milwaukee Water Stories program, which offers a rich array of multimedia engagement resources and connections to collaborative partner networks.

In dozens of interviews, WaterMarks Voices connects artists, scientists, and community members across Milwaukee’s neighborhoods.

We believe this work has enduring value.

By revealing a diverse constellation of perspectives as a harmonious and dynamic whole, we are building our collective Voice into a Water Chorus.
